AN inspirational lady is to retire after 21 years’ loyal service to the hospice.

Phyllis Hill, 77, has dedicated her life to being the welcoming face of the hospice.

Phyllis, from Oak Farm Drive, Darton, said: “When I started it was still being built. I would come in and monitor the phone and answer enquiries which were starting to come in.

“I have always really enjoyed being on reception and feel like I am doing something really worthwhile and beneficial.”
