ONE of Wombwell’s longest standing traders is celebrating 25 years at his stall.

Ernie Cawley, 58, from Bly Road, Darfield, left Houghton Main in December 1990 and after passing a business enterprise course taken in night school at Barnsley College, started his career as a market trader.

Ernie said: “I stand at Wombwell three days a week, Pontefract one day and at Doncaster Football Club on a Sunday. I’ve made lots of friends, I know everybody and everybody knows me.
