YOU might have heard of the gorilla spotting roaming Barnsley recently.
It’s sitting in a bath tub, strapped to the top of a Ford Mondeo which has been spraypainted the colour of a refresher - and it calls Wombwell its home.
It started life at Kirby’s Kitchens and Bathrooms on Barnsley Road as part of a competition with Dearne FM, and has been spotted outside the Metrodome, at Hoyland’s Cross Keys pub and at Stairfoot roundabout.
But the gorilla, which combines the bath and vehicle sides of the Kirby business, still doesn’t have a name.
