A RAFT of pupils from schools across the borough have put their business skills to the test by taking place in a marketing competition.

Youngsters signed up to this year’s I Know I Can Big Challenge took part in the competition held at the Civic to to showcase their ideas and demonstrate how they have been promoting their businesses.

The IKIC Big Challenge gives teams and individuals from schools and colleges across the borough the opportunity to create and successfully run their own business for a year to make a profit. They also have the support of an industry mentor who provides advice and potential investment in the business.

The ventures that have been set up range from custom hand-painted trainers to game development studios.
