A DOCTOR wants to build a two-storey medical centre and pharmacy just outside the town centre which will provide more space to deliver modern healthcare services and better access for patients.
Dr Sumanth Chikthimmah, of Park Grove Surgery, has applied to the council for permission to build the centre on Burleigh Street.
It will also include a retail unit.
The existing surgery is based in an end terraced house on Park Grove which has been extensively modified over the years to try and accommodate the clinical requirements of the practice.
