Reds defender Marc Roberts is expecting Walsall to bombard Barnsley on Thursday night but says they will fight fire with fire.
The central defender, 25, says the team are being set up to go and win at the Banks's Stadium, despite taking a three goal advantage to the West Midlands.
"We're in a good position but we have got to approach the game like it is 0-0, that's got to be our mentality," said Roberts.
"We have got to expect a bombardment. I think how we set up, no matter who we're playing, we can go and get a result against. We will be prepared for whatever.
"We have got to approach it like any other game and try and win it.
"If we go there thinking we have got a three goal advantage then that would be our downfall.
"Hecky and Tommy will set us up right and be prepared for whatever they throw at us."
An own goal and a brace from Sam Winnall on Saturday evening put Barnsley in a commanding position ahead of the play-offs second leg on Thursday evening.
Roberts believes the display at Oakwell will leave Walsall as wary of The Reds as they are of them.
He added: "We've got some great creative players like Sam Winnall and Adam Hammill and we are very clinical on our day.
"To win on Thursday would be fantastic."
