EIGHT travellers' caravans have moved back onto the council owned car park at the rear of the telephone exchange in Wombwell.
Town centre residents have complained to the police and the council were meeting yesterday to see what action could be taken.
The travellers are believed to be the same group who were on the car park for a few days in the New Year.
It is understood police officers have been to see them this week but the caravans were still there yesterday morning.
A town centre resident said in the past metal posts had helped to keep out large vehicles but when the council did some work on the car park they were not replaced and since then the car park had been used by travellers.
