A FATHER who underwent an operation to insert a metal plate into his head following a massive stroke is recovering at home after suffering a seizure.

Doctors were pleased with Kenny Bailey’s recovery after the tricky operation to re-shape his skull, but hours after the operation at Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital he had a seizure.

He kept in hospital until Monday and yesterday he told the Chronicle: “I can’t remember anything of the seizure. All I can remember is going in and walking down for them to put me to sleep. Then, the next thing I knew, it was two days later. They don’t know what caused the seizure, but I’m on medication to stop it happening again.

“I came home on Monday, but the backs of my legs and my back are hurting, the doctors have given me painkillers.”

Kenny, 50, is having the staples removed from his head today and is looking forward to getting on with his life.
