THE Mayor’s Parade is on track for a record number of entries this year, Barnsley Council says.
The event, which takes place on Saturday July 9 and celebrates ‘the best of Barnsley’ already has 46 entries with more than a week left to go.
“Entries are still coming in thick and fast from organisations around the borough,” said a council spokesman.
“This year sees lots of new participants keen to celebrate the achievements of the town, as well as having the opportunity to promote their business at the same time.”
