IT’S not always easy for children to read out loud.
But here in Barnsley there’s a new initiative which is making it so much easier - and a lot more fun.
That’s because kids aren’t reading to adults... they’re reading to pets.
Last year the People and Paws group was designed to tackle some of Barnsley’s mental and physical health issues.
Now the group has expanded after entering into a working partnership with Wigfield Farm and the Pets as Therapy charity.
