A BARNSLEY MP who waged a long campaign for a blanket ban on the sale of so-called ‘legal highs’ has said more needs to be done to tackle the demand of such substances.
The Psychoactive Substances Act - which makes it illegal to supply, sell, import or export any psychoactive substances came into force in May.
And although he hopes it will have a significant impact on supply, Dan Jarvis said more needs to be done to tackle demand because possession of psychoactive substances for personal use is not an offence under the act.
