RESIDENTS have spoken about the terrifying moment armed and masked gunmen descended upon a Wombwell street.
The normally quiet Burrow’s Grove, with bungalows on one side of the street and semi-detached homes on the other, became the site of an alleged shooting early last Thursday.
Just after midnight, two men are alleged to have approached a home on the street and fired through the closed front door. They are then believed to have run away down Burrow’s Grove. Specialist police resources were sent to the area to search for the suspects.
Police said the shooting was believed to be a targeted incident, with a woman suffering a minor injury to her arm as a result.
