A BARNSLEY man who was converting the Chicago Rock night club into a family entertainment centre says he believes the fire which destroyed it was started by someone who had a grudge against him.
Businessman Phil Booth, who was working to create a restaurant, bar, laser quest and children's play area, was preparing to put on a ‘taster session’ next month to offer local people the chance to take a look around and try items from the menu.
He placed a notice on Facebook inviting people to come along.
The restaurant area had been stripped out and he was confident the place would be ready for the event.
Now he says he believes someone was out to stop him doing that.
