A FORMER Royal Marine has been left devastated after thieves broke into his home and stole his military medals.

Paul Devonport and his wife Tina had been out when they were contacted by police who told them their house had been broken into.

They returned to their Royston home to find Paul’s medals for service in the Falklands and Northern Ireland were among a few other items which had been taken.

Paul, 55, served in the Marines from 1977 to 1987 and was in the 1st Raiding Squadron Royal Marines.
