Parkway manager Rob Younger is fed up with yobbish evening antics outside the transport interchange opposite his Eldon Street cinema, where youths congregate and brawls regularly break out, often spilling onto the road and across parked cars.

He said it is a hammer-blow for the town’s night-time economy due to the intimidating behaviour cinema-goers and others visiting the town have to face outside the interchange.

Rob, 54, said problems escalated on Tuesday when a ‘drugged up’ man who was later seen trying to start a fire outside the interchange had managed to sneak into the cinema screening area in between films.
