A CINEMA boss who threatened to shut unless yobbish behaviour near the bus station is brought under control has met with officers from the council and police to discuss the problems.

Last week the Chronicle reported how Parkway boss Rob Younger is fed up with menacing evening antics by gangs of youths who gather outside the transport interchange opposite his Eldon Street cinema.

He said problems escalated when a man - who was later seen trying to start a fire outside the interchange entrance - managed to sneak into the cinema screening area in between films and scared staff.

Since the story appeared in the Chronicle, Rob says the cinema has been flooded with support.
