A PLAN to build a new care home facility on green belt land in Brierley has been submitted to Barnsley Council.
Applicant Mitesh Dhanak wants to create an extra four-storey building, containing 32 apartments, in the grounds of the existing Bollingbroke House Care Home, off Common Road, to address a shortfall in the north-east district.
It is anticipated that 21 employees - 12 full-time and nine part-time - would provide 24-hour assistance to residents, according to a planning statement sent on behalf of Mr Dhanak.
