THE wheelie bin crisis which saw more than 1,000 complaints of missed bin collections in just six weeks during the summer appears to be over with all but a handful of bins now collected on the right day.

Back in July hundreds of residents complained that entire streets of bins had been left out by collection crews, with some reporting bins going un-emptied for two months and areas all over the borough affected.

Coun Roy Miller was quoted in the Chronicle in July when he denied there was ‘a crisis’ but admitted there were problems and promised the council was working hard to resolve them.
