AN operation to stop nuisance off-road vehicles will take place in Grimethorpe in the coming weeks.
The problem, which has blighted the village for more than a year, has seen scores of motorbike and quad riders flocking to hotspot areas including woodland off Ladywood Road.
Coun Jeff Ennis raised the issue at the district’s Community Engagement Meeting last Wednesday and South Yorkshire Police’s Sergeant Brad Wynne, who oversees the north-east area’s neighbourhood policing, told the Chronicle that a clampdown will be scheduled in.
