Barnsley have made their second loan signing of the January transfer window.
Matty James has joined on loan from Premier League champions Leicester City.
The midfielder, 25, did not play a single game for The Foxes last season due to a long-term ligament injury.
He returned to fitness in the summer and has made three appearances this campaign.
A former Manchester United youngster, James earned promotion to the top-flight with Leicester in 2014.
