PUPILS at eco-friendly Goldthorpe Primary have had to take matters into their own hands after rubbish was dumped in their school field.
The Doncaster Road school prides itself on being environmentally friendly.
But eco-school councillors have had to team up with the school council to tackle the litter and fly tipping in the area, especially after some was dumped in the far end of the field, where it backs onto the High Street shops.
Goldthorpe Primary eco-schools ambassador Christopher Wharton-Lovett said: “I can’t believe people think it’s acceptable to throw their rubbish into our school.”
