A GIRL guides and rangers group is holding a summer fair tomorrow (Saturday) to raise funds to send them on a working trip to South Africa next year.
The fair, organised by the 27th Monk Bretton Guides and Rangers group, runs from 11am until 2pm at Monk Bretton Methodist Church, on Well Lane, Monk Bretton.
There will be a raffle, face paints, cake stalls, breakfast sandwiches and a lot more, all run by the guides and rangers. Anyone is welcome to go along, and all the money raised goes towards its Africa funds.
As part of their fundraising efforts, some of the members have already completed a six-mile walk along the Trans Pennine Trail, from the RSPB Dearne Valley entry to the trail to York Railway Museum.
