TEENAGE businesswoman Rose Dyson will form part of a panel offering advice to young entrepreneurs.
Rose, 18, is the owner of cruelty-free, vegan lip care business Pura Cosmetics which she founded while still at school, and with just £25.
Her achievements have already been recognised by business giants she is the youngest recipient of both the Jacqueline Gold CBE Women in Business #WOW Award and the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award, and is the current UK Young Trader of the Year.
She will appear at KidPreneur, a day long festival in London which aims to celebrate young entrepreneurship and inspire the next generation of innovators and business leaders. It is run by KidZania, a chain of family entertainment centres, and will take place on October 13.
Question and answer sessions will be held with Rose and other young business leaders, who will share insights into how they started their business ventures and their success, as well as imparting tips on how to make their business dreams a reality. This will be followed by a series of workshops.
Joining Rose on this year’s panel is The Only Way Is Essex star Tommy Mallet, chief executive of Mallet Footwear which is stocked in more than 190 stores across Europe; Louise Leolin, chief executive of DinoByte Labs, which specialises in creating games, and Jenk Oz, chief executive of iCoolKid, a digital platform with content designed by kids for kids.
The question and answer session with Rose will take place at 2pm and workshops about how to sell cosmetics will take place at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Rose will teach children how to identify product selling points and how to pitch products to potential buyers. Using her range as a base, children will work together to create a pitch, before selling Rose’s products back to her.
Eddie Kemsley, chief executive of KidZania, said: “We had an overwhelmingly positive response to KidPreneur in 2017, so we are delighted to be hosting the festival again this year. The entrepreneurs we are working with for 2018 are all hyper-talented and we have so much admiration for them and all they’ve achieved in their young careers.
“They are proof that great business thinking can be nurtured and developed at any age, and that’s really the message we’re trying to deliver with KidPreneur.
“By providing access to these incredible coaches, we really hope to inspire the next generation, giving them key skills to take forward for their own future careers.”
