DARTON post office worker Diane Stubbs retired last week after more than 15 years behind the counter.
Sub-postmasters Jill and Anthony Auty put balloons up and made a banner to mark the occasion.
"She was a key member of the team and had a good sense of humour. She was friendly, loyal and well loved by customers.
"We 'inherited' her when we came two years and a half years ago and we thank her for showing us the ropes.
"In fact, we might be calling on her again when we are short staffed," she joked.
Diane, who turns 60 on Sunday, will use her retirement to spend more time with her daughter and first granddaughter.
