BRILLIANT Barnsley repeated their FA Cup giant-killing exploits to win a semi-final place at Wembley.

The Reds sent Chelsea crashing out of the cup, the same way as Liverpool, when striker Kayode Odejayi headed home in front of Oakwell's Pontefract Road end.

Giant forward Odejayi towered above Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini to net a Martin Devaney cross - and send Barnsley fans into raptures. The battling Reds fuly deserve their semi-final place after restricting the Stamford Bridge superstars to half chances.

Odejayi's strike colleague Istan Ferenczi had earlier hit the woodwork and Odejayi, who had not scored since September, had frightened the Chelsea rearguard when putting Cudicini under pressure from a backpass.

Barnsley's faithful fans poured onto the pitch on full-time, sparking celebrations across Barnsley. The team kicked off those celebrations in the dressing room, soaking each other in champagne.

After the match captain Brian Howard, whose strike had sent Liverpool out of the cup in the previous round, said the team could not wait to get to Wembley. He said the team would not fear anyone.

Stunned manager Simon Davey praised his players and said he could not believe what he had seen.
