THE Mayor was given the opportunity to test audio visual equipment at a Barnsley company.
Osborne Technologies, based on Fall Bank Industrial Estate, Dodworth, manufactures audio visual and technology products as well as specialist sensory and immersive equipment.
Founded in the UK in 1996, Osborne Technologies now supplies thousands of schools, businesses, partners and government organisations with equipment, developed in-house.
They supply to organisations across the world.
The Mayor, Coun Steve Green, went to visit the company on December 13 and had to sign in using the company’s visitor management system, created by the firm, before testing the company’s interactive software and exploring its ‘sensory pod’.
Marketing manager Faiyaz Kiddi said: “The mayor seemed very impressed with the tour and he is very keen to return, even suggesting to extend the invitation to MP Dan Jarvis.
“He really enjoyed testing out the equipment we supply to thousands of schools and businesses across the world. We are currently in the middle of developing new software so as soon as it is ready, we will be inviting the Mayor back to test it out.”
