THE Goldthorpe Safer Neighbourhood Team claim good results from intensive policing in Thurnscoe and Bolton-upon-Dearne.
Working in partnership with Barnsley Council they have cut the number of complaints from the Orchard Way area of Thurnscoe and a nuisance tenant is facing eviction.
"It's a positive result," said Sgt Rick Rushton.
"Orchard Way has been suffering alcohol related serious nuisance from youths congregating, especially in the early hours at the weekend. We put a lot of staff into the area to move them along.
"We've also had good results in Bolton by stopping and searching and taking alcohol off them. We were getting a lot of complaints from The Crecent, but we've not had any recently."
