TWO best friends are dancing their way to success after winning places at a top ballet school.
Toni Bailey of Darton and Jemma Lingard, both 11, screamed and jumped for joy on Friday when they found out they had both been accepted into the Northern Ballet Theatre school in Leeds.
At auditions in April the girls, pupils of the Wendy Charles School of Dance in Mapplewell, beat thousands to each scoop one of the 30 places on the intensive associates' programme.
Toni's mum Joanne Bailey, of Pennine View, said it was fantastic.
She said: "They're both overjoyed, it's such an achievement.
"But to know they've both made it through together is wonderful, neither of them want to do anything else in life but dance."
