TWO MEMBERS of the Brierley Boys Brigade have received the highest award in the fellowship.
James Addey of Grimethorpe, and Callum Yardley of Hemsworth were awarded the Queen's Badge at a ceremony in York last Wednesday.
The two 17-year-olds completed 120 hours of voluntary work within the brigade, within the Methodist church, within the community and of their own interest. They helped out with company events, tidying the church and chose skiing and other sports as their personal choice work.
Captain Edwin Hambleton said: "We are very proud of them. We have five boys who have become Queen's men.
