COACHES at Wortley Rugby Club had their patience try-ed after thieves stole all their balls from the changing rooms.
Club coach Mike O'Toole arrived at the Finkle Street Sports Ground on Sunday morning for the junior training session to find all the balls missing.
Up to 40 balls in three large carrying sacks were stolen from the changing rooms on Saturday night. Club treasurer Brian Morrisey said the break-in was very frustrating. He said: "I'm at a loss as to why thieves would want 30 to 40 rugby balls, they would not have been an inconspicuous item to make off with."
