A TODDLER was taken to hospital with severe facial injuries after she was savaged by the family’s dog.
Police were called to Pagnell Avenue, Thurnscoe when the two-year-old was attacked by the large Japanese akita.
She was taken to Sheffield Children’s hospital where her injuries were said to be “not life threatening”. She was discharged on Monday.
The dog, which is the third to attack a child in as many weeks, was taken to Cliffe Kennels.
