BABY Chloe was in such a hurry to come into the world she could not wait to go to hospital and was born in her parent's bedroom.

Joanne Worrell was only in labour for half-an-hour and delivered the baby before the midwife arrived at their home on Steel Street, Hoyland Common.

The mother-of-two said she thought she had an upset stomach so left her partner Ryan Eyre to sleep. "When I woke up I didn't realise I was in labour, I just thought I was having stomach ache. We'd had pork for dinner so I thought nothing of it," said Joanne, 22.

"By the time it got to 4am, it was getting worse and worse and was coming in waves so then I thought I was in labour but was still a little dubious as my waters hadn't broken."

Joanne woke Ryan, 24, and told him they needed to go to the hospital as the baby was on its way.

He got the bags ready, called ahead and was making a cup of tea when Joanne said there was no time as Chloe was coming there and then.

"I phoned the hospital back and said we weren't going to make it and they started talking me through it," said Ryan.

"They said the midwife would be ten minutes so I went to get some water and just as opened the bedroom door there was my daughter being brought into the world.
