RISING electricity bills may have stopped some people putting Christmas lights on the outside of their homes - but not Noreen Turner.
Noreen and son Robert Saunders have continued the family tradition of transforming their homes into something Santa would be proud of.
The grandma-of-21 from Hillcrest, Hoyland Common, said her grandchildren and great-grandchild thought she was mad.
"They think I'm barmy but they love coming around and love the lights. It has been like a motorway since we put them up again," said Noreen, 63.
"We've got cars stopping in the street, people bringing little kids and older people bringing their grandchildren.
"We've only had them up a few days and we have already raised more than £500 for charity."
