POLICE got more than they bargained for when they went to check out an insecure house - £125, 000 worth of cannabis plants.
Officers from Dearne SNT had been tipped off about an unattended property in the Dearne and when they went to investigate they discovered information about another house on Merrill Road, Thurnscoe.
When they visited that property last Friday they found and seized the drugs.
Sgt Gill Blake from the Dearne SNT said: "It is quite a haul and was a good result." She added the investigation was continuing.
