CANNON Hall Farm has something to 'snout' about following the arrival of new pigs.

The farm is welcoming two Kune Kune and three Hungarian Mangalitza pigs. "They've been really popular with the visitors," said owner Rob Nicholson.

"We're always looking for something new but something that looks appropriate in a farm yard."

All the new pigs are female and Rob said he plans to breed them in future. The new Kune Kune pigs, native of New Zealand, are called Salt and Pepper and spend their days rooting around in the grass for things to eat. They are known for being friendly, intelligent and kind natured.

A competition to name the new Mangalitza pigs has been launched at cannonhallfarm.co.uk. The winner will receive a family ticket to the farm.
