A SHAFTON mother who survived breast cancer has launched a charity's new range of 'designer' rubber ducks.
Karen Arrowsmith, 42, has launched the limited edition ducks, some of which have been designed by Dame Judi Dench.
This is to raise money for Cancer Research UK's new breast cancer awareness and fundraising campaign 'Join the fight for women’s survival'.
Karen found a lump after watching a programme on the television about being breast aware and was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2008.
She underwent six sessions of chemotherapy and 15 sessions of radiotherapy.
Karen, business manager at Wombwell Park Street Primary School, is now healthy and is enjoying life with her husband Michael and her 10-year-old son Jake.
The 'Judi' duck was created by actress Dame Judi Dench and has a pearlised body with the initials JD in its pink pearl necklace. The ‘Blossom’ duck is blue with sprigs of pink flowers and the ‘Camo’ duck is a funky pink and blue design.
