MORE than a hundred workers are being made redundant at a Dodworth logistics firm after a takeover bid failed.

JDF Logistics went into administration last month but it was hoped the business which employs 114 could be saved.

Finance experts PricewaterhouseCoopers were negotiating the sale of the business but the deal fell through last Friday.

It is now being wound down and closed in a process which will take three weeks. A spokesman for PWC said: "Staff are being laid off as their roles become redundant."
