A FORMER Hoyland woman is getting fired up for bombing down an icy track at the Winter Olympics.
Fiona Harrison will miss the opening ceremony today as she takes part in the last few training sessions before the women's bobsleigh events on February 23 and 24.
The former St Helen's Catholic school pupil is a brakewoman in Team Minichiello, one of Great Britain's biggest hopes for a gold medal at the games in Vancouver, Canada.
