New loan signing Paul McShane is in the Barnsley squad for tomorrow’s trip to Portsmouth, but Stephen Foster and Hugo Colace are both out injured.
Reds manager Mark Robins has landed Republic of Ireland international McShane on a two-month loan deal from Championship rivals Hull City, although the Tigers have insisted on a 28-day recall.
McShane, 25, can play at right-back or in central defence.
Meanwhile, Foster has a tear in his thigh, putting him on the sidelines for up to six weeks, while midfielder Hugo Colace, who was injured in training on Tuesday, is expected to be out for a month.
