A Barnsley drummer is hitting the right notes after coming up with a business idea that rocks.
Nick Boxall has invented a clever bit of kit that prevents drums from de-tuning.The 37-year-old, who plays with local alternative rock band Skinboat, has been creating a prototype of his invention with help from designers at University Campus Barnsley, where he did a degree in music and promotion.
He said: “I can’t really give lots of details about my invention because it hasn’t been patented yet. I’ve put so much work into it and I don’t want anyone to steal it.”
