Two well-taken goals from super sub Andy Gray helped Barnsley bag a deserved point at the home of promotion-chasing Cardiff City on Sunday.

Gray had been a 10th minute replacement for the injured Danny Haynes – and the striker took his opportunity with both hands.

The Reds were the better side for the majority of the match, yet were twice behind.

They conceded to a wonderful long range effort from Peter Whittingham, but responded superbly. Marlon Harewood and Gray dovetailed beautifully for the equaliser, which Gray fired home from the edge of the box.

And although Cardiff centre-back Dekel Keinan put the home side back in front in the second half, Barnsley never gave up and Gray stooped to head in a late equaliser from Jacob Butterfield's cross.

It was one of Barnsley's best away performances of the season, a notable team effort.
