An actor from Barnsley has become the face of a national campaign to stop unnecessary trips to accident and emergency departments at Christmas.
Anastasia Ryan, 33, of Charles Street, Barnsley, stars alongside former Apprentice contestant Noorul Choudhury for the NHS advert.
The clip highlights the pressures put on A and E departments by avoidable drink-related injuries over the festive period.
Anastasia's character, Sandra, is disgusted by those injuries but sees nothing wrong with expecting doctors to perform a 'public service' and cut up her oversized turkey so it can fit in her oven.
"I didn't realise at first but each of the adverts is based on real things that have happened in hospitals," she said."So someone has actually taken a turkey into an A and E which is just ludicrous. It wasn't me."
