A TEACHING assistant has been sentenced having admitted to possessing indecent photographs of almost 2,000 images of children.
Tim Connellan, of Pontefract Road, Lundwood, admitted four counts of possessing indecent photographs of children and appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday.
He had 370 images classed as ‘category A’ - the most serious - as well as 411 category Bs and 1,150 category Cs.
The 61-year-old was given an 18-month community order consisting of 200 hours of unpaid work, 30 rehabilitation requirement days and told to sign the sex offenders’ register for five years.
