A dad died and his father was severely burnt after allegedly attempting to steal electric cable.
Brent Campbell, 29, of Tuxford Crescent, Lundwood, was found by electricity board engineers on Tuesday after a power cut affected about 2,300 homes the previous evening.
His 51-year-old father, Shaun Stewart, of Lord Street, Hoyle Mill, fled the scene.
He was later taken to hospital but has been discharged, although he needs skin graft treatment. He has been arrested on suspicion of attempted theft and has been bailed.
