BARNSLEY Woolley Miners gained ‘by far our best win of the season’ as they defeated leaders Wakefield Thornes by 138 runs in the Yorkshire Premier South.
The Shaw Laners are now up to eighth, with four wins and six losses from ten games.
Captain Boeta Beukes said: “It was a very good win against top of the league.
“It’s by far our best win of the season and we finally beat a team above us.
“That gives us more confidence to push on.
“We thought we were getting the pieces together and it clicked in that game.
“We like to look forward not behind us.
“I think we can push up into the top four or five.
