CONNOR Smythe made an unbeaten 103 as Penistone won at home to Coal Aston in Division One.

Penistone were 67 for five chasing 219 but Smythe and captain Tom Exley (51) shared a stand of 160. They won with four wickets and two overs remaining.

Jack Rodgers and Chris Walmsley took three wickets.

The win moved Penistone off bottom but they are 24 points off safety at the halfway stage of the season.

There were two century-makers for Darfield in their win at Oughtibridge.

Zeeshan Ahmad made 106 with 16 fours and a six while Syed Shah cleared the ropes three times in his 121 not out off 104 balls.

Darfield posted 313 then Saman Khursheed took three wickets to remove the hosts for 249.

They are in the second promotion place.

Monk Bretton fell 27 runs short chasing 173 against Upper Haugh.

Joshua Van Oudtshoorn and Harrison Hayes took three wickets then Van Oudtshoorn made 51.

Higham chased 143 for a two-wicket win at Treeton in Division Three.

Worsbrough Bridge bowled Rockingham 2nd XI out for 76 in a seven-wicket win.

Lewis Wilkinson took four wickets with three each for Liam Hague and Liam Levitt.

Wombwell Main chased 167 for a two-wicket win at Coal Aston in Division Four. Joe Armitage took three wickets then top-scored with five sixes in his 39.

Kexborough won by 97 runs at Stocksbridge.

Danny Bowering scored 57 in Kexborough’s 197 then Suthaharan Nadesapillai and Thava Nig took four wickets.

Silkstone United won by 79 runs at Whiston 2nd XI in Division Five.

Edward Driver top-scored with 57 in Silkstone’s 222 then the hosts were removed for 143 as Callum Gray took five wickets.

Penistone 2nd XI dismissed Hatfield Town for 120 but fell two runs short in the run-chase.

Marcus Hoyland took five wickets and Matt Scholey four.

Satinderpal Singh took seven wickets but his Green Moor side lost by two wickets at Millhouses Green in Division Six.

Satvir Singh made 76 off 68 balls in Green Moor’s 202.

Green Moor then removed Rockingham 3rd XI for 94 defending 156 in the Billy Oates Memorial Cup.

Julian Bates made 57 not out.

William King carried his bat with 52 not out Rockingham 3rd XI chased 114 for a eight-wicket win at Adwick-le-Street in Division Seven.

Dearne were dismissed for 58 in a four-wicket home loss to Sprotbrough 3rd XI in Division Eight. Clayton Taylor took three wickets.

Houghton Main 2nd XI won by four wickets at Kexborough 2nd XI who were out for 101. Shokoor Ahmadzai and Gul Safi took four wickets.

Wombwell Main 2nd XI bowled Monk Bretton 2nd XI out for 58 in an eight-wicket win. Connor Turford took five wickets.

Elsecar 2nd XI’s 176 was not enough in a three-wicket loss to Parkhead in Division Two. Elsecar were 34 for six but Ethan Winstanley (64) and Jason Meadows (72) led the recovery then Musa Altaf took five wickets.

Cawthorne 2nd XI were bowled out for 94 chasing 168 against Thorpe Hesley and High Green. Buck Rees-McClure took five wickets.

Elsecar 3rd XI won by 78 runs at home to Frecheville 2nd XI in Division Nine.

Jack Pearson scored 74 in Elsecar’s 235 then Freddie Rowbottom took four wickets.

Kevin Taylor made 68 in Silkstone United 2nd XI’s 156 but they lost by seven wickets at home to Frickley Colliery 2nd XI.
