A power cut has forced businesses to shut up shop for the day.

Some shops on Racecommon Road lost power at about 8.45am on Tuesday, with others being affected about an hour later.

More than 230 properties, both residential and commercial, are affected on Racecommon Road, St George's Road and Grafton Street.

The supply is not expected to be restored until 6pm.
