TITLE-CHASING Cawthorne travel to Shaw Lane on Saturday to visit local rivals Barnsley Woolley Miners who are trying to keep themselves away from the relegation zone.
Cawthorne are second, 14 points off leaders Wakefield Thornes with nine games left.
They have won their last four league games.
Barnsley are ninth, two places and 20 points clear of the relegation zone, having lost their last four matches in all competitions.
Cawthorne have won the last five league meetings of the two clubs including one this season.
Barnsley captain Boeta Beukes said: “Playing Cawthorne is always a big one.
“We like it. Hopefully we can end that little run they are on and get us going.
“It’s usually a good game at Shaw Lane.
“We haven’t beaten them for a while so it would be nice to get on top of them.
“You have to accept the league standings and respect the opposition.
“But it’s a derby and anything can happen. We’ll be going to win.”
Cawthorne captain Archie Greaves added: “Going into the weekend we are looking to get the double on Barnsley.
“It’s always an exciting game which both teams are up for and we look to continue our performances and make another statement.”
