Barnsley made one deadline day signing and kept all of their first team stars throughout the summer transfer window.

Defender Jake Rooney signed on a season-long loan from Championship Derby County before Monday evening's deadline.

They were trying to bring in a forward, with ex-Red John McAtee from Bolton one of the options, but did not get a deal done.

They kept hold of the likes of Adam Phillips – who was linked with Luton Town – Luca Connell and Davis Keillor-Dunn.

Their senior strikers are Keillor-Dunn and David McGoldrick, after they wanted to add depth in that position.
