LOCAL councillors recently paid a visit to Royston Crown Green Bowling Club as part of their efforts to engage with community groups.

During the visits, Couns Caroline Makinson, Pauline McCarthy and Dave Webster had the chance to meet with club members and discuss the importance of community sports.

The councillors were impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm of the club members, who have worked tirelessly to maintain the club and promote the sport of crown green bowling.

The visit also included a friendly match between the councillors and club members, highlighting the spirit of camaraderie and community that the club fosters.

The councillors expressed their gratitude to the club for their warm welcome and for the opportunity to learn more about the sport.
